Kristin Dunn

Kristin Dunn earned her bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Political Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin and her master’s degree in Recreational Therapy from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. After graduation, she began her career with the Children’s Rights Council in Washington, DC, advocating for children’s access to both parents. She later provided recreational therapy for adolescents in residential treatment in Chattanooga, TN.

For ten years, Kristin worked in Prevention and Early Intervention Services in Knoxville, TN, contributing to programs such as the Healthy Families Home Visiting Program and the Regional Intervention Program. In 2019, she joined AIMHiTN and was part of the leadership cohort that brought the Infant Mental Health Endorsement® to Tennessee, earning her own endorsement as an Infant Mental Health Mentor–Policy in 2017.

Kristin’s work focuses on developing sector-specific Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) trainings, promoting reflective practice and Endorsement®, identifying IECMH needs across systems, and strengthening workforce access to high-quality training. She is also trained to facilitate and train professionals in Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN), supporting reflective, relationship-based practice across disciplines. Passionate about sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration, Kristin is dedicated to learning from and contributing to the progress of Tennessee communities.

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling with her husband and daughter, cheering on the Volunteers, and spending time outdoors.
